GRAPHISOFT introduced ARCHICAD 23 with new features

GRAPHISOFT just launched ARCHICAD 23, the most updated version of its award-winning BIM software solution. ARCHICAD 23 significantly enhances perceived performance of necessary processes like software startup, file opening, working in multi-project environments and switching among various views of the BIM project.

The perfectness of modeling and the interoperability with engineering disciplines are enhanced with the latest opening, column and beam tools.

ARCHICAD 23 contains the following exclusive features :

Upgrading of performance: ARCHICAD 23 can easily access project data and navigate one?s way through the Building Information Model. It is obtained through a consolidation of raw performance optimization, simplified workflows and lowering file sizes.

Re-engineered Column and Beam tools: ARCHICAD 23 accelerates the modeling speed for architects and generates perfect construction details and quantity estimations for reinforced concrete, complex steel, timber, and composite beams and columns. Complicated columns and curved, haunched and castellated beams can now be modeled and recorded to satisfy graphic and representation standards. Beams and columns are shown with different projected and symbolic views and cover fills.

Voids, Niches, and Recesses: ARCHICAD 23 launches a new Opening tool committed to model and coordinate project design voids, recesses and niches ? as horizontal, vertical or slanted openings across components, component groups or even across stories.

Such openings play an important role for project coordination as they are uniformly important for architects, engineers and consultants and should be certified by architects and by engineers. Openings are modeled, scheduled, and recorded with inherent tools, and distributed with open IFC standards.

Renewed Solibri connection: ARCHICAD 23 enables seamless code- and constructability checking at any stage of the design. The updated add-on automatically detects and sends only those elements that are changed in the ARCHICAD model, resulting in faster round-trip collaboration.

Enhanced dRofus connection: ARCHICAD 23 facilitates the architects to obtain and arrange client planning requirements and utilize them to authenticate and recommend design alternatives. The dRofus database allows the designers to simply accumulate and handle planning rules and design data, even while dealing with large and complicated projects, like hospitals, airports and universities.

Rhino-Grasshopper-ARCHICAD live connection: The new Grasshopper Deconstruct Component is employed to extract ARCHICAD element surface data as a design reference. By applying this function, any modifications to the core design scheme in BIM will automatically update all linked design details created via design algorithms in Grasshopper.
