SU Animate 2.0 is an animation plug-in for SketchUp Pro 6 Windows and Mac. This simple application works inside SketchUp and automatically creates scenes that you can play as an animation in SketchUp or export to an AVI or MOV video file. SU Animate will create "key frame" like animations where SketchUp objects move along a path or walk thru type animations where the camera moves along a path.
How SU Animated works: SU Animate is to create a path that will be used by the program to animate a group or the camera. For example, if you want to show a forklift moving out of the back of a truck, first create a path for the forklift to follow. If you want to create a walk thru animation with the SketchUp camera "walking" through a building, create a path for the camera to follow.
Select the Group to animate : After creating a path, select a group to animate. The group can either be a SketchUp group or the camera. You can also name a SketchUp group "target" which will force the SketchUp camera to follow the group move a long a path. More than one path and one group can be animated.
Play the animated: Play the animation using Sketchup view – animation – play command. You can then export the animation to an AVI file using Sketchup animation export command.
