Landscape Architecture using Sketchup
Sketchup is a 3D landscape design program that allows you to really envision a project.
Landscape architects implement SketchUp on all kinds of projects. It is found that Landscape architects tend to spend more time in the conceptual design phase of a plan, and do more sketching than architects that makes SketchUp ideally fit for the mentality and workflow of landscape architects. From residences to large-scale urban parks, SketchUp is a simple but powerful tool which can provide one of the best portrayals of the 3D landscape.
By applying SketchUp you can draw walkways with paving materials... add beautiful shrubs, trees perennials, lawn and groundcover.
You can also view different materials for landscape elements. For example, if you are drawing a patio, you can go to the Materials area and choose what you might like. There are many different materials like stone, pavers, brick and concrete and you can change them as you like to see the differences.
With SketchUp Landscape Design, Drawings & 3D Landscape Design Images are created according to scale and can be easily followed.
The most recent version of the software include a collection of unique set of tools called “Sand Box” specifically allow you to easily create and sculpt terrain and or any geometry created from a sandbox or triangulated information network (TIN). You can also use the Sandbox tools to alter the form of your terrain by creating berms, hills, ridges and valleys, and to add roads, paths, building pads and more. These can be created interactively with imported topographical data or contour sections. The SketchUp developers worked closely with landscape architects at EDAW to create this suite of tools. In short, you define a flat grid landscape and then push and pull “zones” of vertices to create rolling hills and slopes.
You access to multiple 3D models of landscape architectural accessories with Google Sketchup Landscape Architecture Library to design outdoors spaces. You’ll find benches, public illumination accessories, fences, rocks, mailboxes and many more
We will make drawings in SketchUp to create eye-catching presentations and visual walk-throughs of outdoor spaces such as golf courses, residential layouts, shopping centers, playgrounds, college campuses, public parks etc. We are also able to exemplify the location of buildings and roads, as well at part with your plan.
All plants, planting beds, walkways and other elements may be measured on the design and easily installed.
