3D Modeling using SketchUp
SketchUP is an architectural design and modeling product with a consistently practical hybrid drawing/modeling workflow. SketchUp combines drawing in 2D with 3D modeling in a perspective view. This gives the process of designing a house or futuristic office complex the speed of drawing and the accuracy of a CAD program.
We apply SketchUp to design 3D models of houses, new deck, sheds, home additions for your house, woodworking projects - even space ships, teach geometry to your fifth-graders and 3D models of anything you like.
Plans and models can now be instantly placed on a three-dimensional satellite image representing the real-world building site, giving clients and the design team an immediate context for the project.
By designing with SketchUp we approach 3D drawing with a design environment based on colour-coded dots, edges, and planes that indicate dimensions
After creating models we can uploaded these models to Google's 3-D Warehouse ( The Google 3D Warehouse is a collection of 3D models of buildings, bridges, cars, spaceships, futons, dinosaurs and everything else in the universe. It's completely free for everyone to use, and it's getting bigger every day.), where it becomes available for the rest of the World to download, change, and re-upload into the Warehouse. We can also place the models in Google Earth.
