DesignSpark Mechanical - A 3d modeling software compatible with sketchup

RS Components (UK) and Allied Electronics (US) have jointly introduced DesignSpark Mechanical. It is an user friendly free 3D modeling software facilitating engineers to generate and distribute models.

In order to produce bill of materials, part numbers and cost for integrated components, the designs can be connected straightforwardly to RS/Allied off-the-shelf components.

The users can export the software to DXF, SketchUp, ECAD, OBJ, STEP, and STL formats. For presenting 3d models to the clients and distributing with engineers as well as other project team members all the designs can be allocated in the indigenous electronic form. The users can send their designs directly to rapid prototyping/3D printer tools for rapid prototyping.
