Usefulness of sketchup external reference – An exclusive presentation by Matt Donley

Sketchup has a similar XREF (external reference) feature like autocad. With external reference feature, the sketchup users will be able to break up their sketchup model into numerous separate shorter files. Later on these files are referenced and restored in a master sketchup file.

This unique feature allows sketchup users to make collaboration with their project team members efficiently and handling a wide array of scenes in a project as well as section plane management, version control and template objects.
