Trimble has introduced SketchUp Mobile Viewer version 2
Trimble just launched the most updated version of SketchUp Mobile Viewer. It is a useful app for onsite demonstration that empowers the architects, engineers, construction and other SketchUp users to streamline the process for inspecting, analyzing and distributing models in real-time. SketchUp Mobile Viewer elongates the showing of 3D models generated through SketchUp across the desktop to mobile gadgets that improve the collaboration and communication.
This newest app was showcased at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention.
With this app, the users will be able to observe their own 3D models as well as explore, download and orbit their way around the spaces of SketchUp (.skp) files available in Trimble's 3D Warehouse, the biggest storehouse of free, superior quality, 3D content. Besides, supporting iOS and Android tablets, SketchUp Mobile Viewer is now compatible with iOS and Android mobile phones.
The new SketchUp Mobile Viewer enhances the communication amid architects, engineers and other project to obtain, view and submit SketchUp models instantly on their preferred devices. So the file management becomes more easier.
Ceaseless File Transfer with Local and Cloud-Based File Storage assimilations – The new version is efficiently incorporated with 3D Warehouse that facilitates the users to view, browse, categorize and refine search results for both models and collections. SketchUp Mobile Viewer is also amalgamated with Dropbox, a file storage and sharing service, as well as Trimble® Connect, Trimble's robust cloud collaboration platform to provide supplementary cloud-based file transfer options, allowing users to download SketchUp files into the Mobile Viewer right away. SketchUp files can also be transmitted locally from the desktop through iTunes (iOS) or an SD card (Android) and opened forthwith from other iOS and Android apps (e.g., if delivered with an email attachment).
More Control and Added Views – SketchUp Mobile Viewer 2 now contains an option to view models through a new "Look Around" navigation tool.
