Hardware Specification for SketchUp
Like many computer programs, SketchUp and SketchUp Pro require certain hardware specifications in order to install and run. These are basic requirements, though, so you may want to use our recommended suggestions to improve performance. The following list of requirements and recommendations apply to SketchUp Make and SketchUp Pro 2013:
Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 - Recommended hardware
- 2+ GHz processor
- 2+ GB RAM
- 500 MB of available hard-disk space
- 3D class Video Card with 512+ MB of memory or higher. Please ensure that the video card driver supports OpenGL version 1.5 or higher and up to date.
Windows XP - Recommended hardware
- 2+ GHz processor
- 2+ GB RAM
- 500 MB of available hard-disk space
- 3D class Video Card with 512+ MB of memory or higher. Please ensure that the video card driver supports OpenGL version 1.5 or higher and up to date.
MAC OS x 10.7 and 10.8+ - Recommended hardware
- 2.1+ GHz Intel™ processor
- 2 GB RAM
- 500 MB of available hard-disk space
- 3D class Video Card with 512+ MB of memory or higher. Please ensure that the video card driver supports OpenGL version 1.5 or higher and up to date.
- 3 button, scroll-wheel mouse
- Some SketchUp features require an active internet connection.
