The sketchup users can rotate geometry in three diversified stages in a 3D surrounding. The following steps should be maintained while applying the rotate tool to rotate geometry.
Choose the rotate tool. The cursor will be converted to a protractor through a circular arrow.
Opt for the entity for which the rotation will be applied.
Position the cursor in the circular direction unless it goes to the starting point of the rotation.
Select to settle the starting point of the rotation. To obtain the center position of the rotation, take help from the inference tool tips.
Position the cursor unless it appears at the ending point. If the 'Enable angle snapping' checkbox within the unit panel of the model info dialog box is activated, movements adjacent to the protractor causes angle shapes and at the same time those further ahead of the protractor facilitate free rotation.
Apply the ESC key at any point throughout the operation to start afresh.
Click on for the completion of the operation.
Autofold feature for Rotational stretching
The users can also apply the Rotate tool to elongate geometry by choosing and rotating a segment of the geometry. Any rotational movement causing a face to twist in on itself or else turn into non-planar will make SketchUp's Auto-Fold feature active.
