Future smart phone application from Google to explore the world in 3D
With its superior Technology, Google’s research group is working on developing a new Android based smart phone to explore the world in 3D. The project is known as “Project Tango”. It will record the environment with the help of a double video camera as well as incorporated sensors generating a quarter of a million measurements each second, frequently updating its position in the environment.
The 5" smartphone consists of development API to produce position, orientation and depth data to standard Android applications.
The most striking factor will involve the sphere of physical photography, 3D modelling and real world adjacent environments and objects through 3D printing interactions. By acquiring a perfect 3D demonstration of a 3D atmosphere, it becomes easier to envision virtual objects and transform turning them into .stl files.
