Some exclusive workshops on 3d design programs & 3d printing conducted by NRCC
NRCC is going to conduct two preparatory practicums on 3-D printing to be held at New River Community College in March and April.
The workshops will focus on the introduction to 3-D design and printing technologies together with the discussions on various types of 3-D printers, products presently generated by the printers, printer and material costs, and how to get these 3-D models for printing.
There will be demonstrations on various popular 3-D design programs, like Google Sketchup and Autodesk Inventor. The participants can also go through a practical training session on how to apply the 3-D printers as well as the jargons of 3d printers, installation and maintenance and how to modify the print settings.
The first workshop will commence from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on March 30 at NRCC’s New River Valley Mall site in Christiansburg. The seats are limited to maximum 20 participants.
A second workshop on the same topic will start from 5 to 8:30 p.m. April 8 at the Dublin campus. The seats are limited to maximum 20 participants.
