Here are 10 tips for Optimizing your SketchUp Workflow
An important factor in SketchUp is efficiency. Create arrays of objects with the program's easy-to-use interface. The simplicity of SketchUp makes it one of the fastest digital design programs on the market. Simple objects can be displayed on your screen within minutes.
1. Components & Groups
SketchUp models and objects require space to create. You will quickly fill up your hard drive by saving each file individually. Furthermore, the process involves opening each object separately, which takes time.

There are components and groups for this. Each object can be combined into a group so that you can access them all together. In advanced models using many Objects, this is crucial. It works slightly differently for each component. Objects you will repeatedly use across many models are ideal for using them. You can make changes to an object by turning it into a component, which will apply to the entire instance of the component.

The time you save may only be a few seconds each time you use the tool. Nevertheless, when working with complex models, those seconds accumulate into a lot of minutes.

8. Must Find Hidden Geometry
SketchUp may create hidden geometry during the creation of your model. It may form for a variety of reasons. The residual geometry of an object may be left behind after its deletion. No matter what happens, your software will slow down.
In the View menu, click the Hidden Geometry selection to view any hidden geometry. That will reveal hidden geometry as a sort of mesh pattern. Your SketchUp digital design software will work better if you delete all of them.

10. Open & Save Files

When you return to the file, you don't need any of the shadows on, so turn them off and turn off all extra layers. Saves will be faster this way. Additionally, it will result in a faster opening of the file. You can use this time saved to work on the model.
