Description: PLEASE SEE IT IN SKETCHUP. IF NOT YOU WILL MISS DETAILS AND CREATURES. When I read about a halloween competition, the image of old haunted houses in Barranco, Lima, came to my mind. I haven’t modeled houses from Barranco in almost a year as I have been busy making historical buildings in downtown Lima, but I found this competition to be a good chance to model some of those old creepy and sadly neglected houses, instead of a “Psycho/Addams/ Munster family” type of house. Therefore I went to Barranco and start taking plenty of pictures, and finally decided to model this house, located right next to Reino De España School, the one that received Google’s donation when winning the Model Your Town Competition last year. After plenty of work, this is a very accurate (and I mean VERY accurate) model of this house, totally made from scratch for this competition, made only with Sketchup and Gimp. Of course some stuff where added as there is no graveyard at the back and I haven’t yet seen any strange creatures around. Finally, I preferred a different geo- placement for this model, and what a better place than a real cemetery. Therefore, this model can be seen in Google Earth, but not in its original location. When I finish a “clean” version of the model, it will be placed in the correct location. Hope you like it and enjoy it. Happy halloween!
